Old one here
We went camping yesterday with Daisy and James. James and I had great fun running around and scootering about. It was our first time camping. The last time Mummy and Daddy went was when I was still in Mummy’s tummy. I got over excited and didn’t go to bed till about 11pm. But then I woke up at 5am very much upset because I was having an episode. I wasn’t breathing properly. We had to all speed home to get my inhaler. That soon perked me up but we all made the most of our beds for an hour or so before going back for breakfast and the Bluebell railway.
Lesson 1: Refuse to get up in the morning and keep going back to sleep until about 10am, then wake up and say you have an owie tummy until Dad says ‘Ok, no nursery for you’ then hang around for another 10 minutes before looking pleased with yourself and realising this is all too easy.
Amilia had a birthday and christening day yesterday. We all went along and had a great time. I ate far too much chocolate and refused to go to sleep. I slept in this morning though till 8am.
It seems I had hand, foot and mouth. Charlotte has been calling me Bovine George. I’m feeling a lot better now, but I must say, I’ve been putting a lot of effort into being a bit of a naughty boy lately. I shouldn’t be proud of myself, but I just can’t help it. I keep stealing everything from Ollie, I push him over, I refuse to do anything Mummy asks and I throw tantrums whenever I can. Daddy can sometimes make me behave, but it’s only when he takes me to one side and talks quietly and calmly to me that I realise I’ve done very wrong indeed!
I’m poorly, I have a temperature, a big rash on my legs and bottom and I have an ‘owie’ tummy. I went to the doctor’s today and they said they think it’s a viral thingy. All I know is I’m not a very happy boy.
Mummy and Daddy went to the pub for Charlotte’s birthday at the weekend. Mummy couldn’t get up the next day so Daddy Ollie and I spent the morning together. Then Ollie went for a sleep with Mummy and Daddy and I went to the pub for some lunch. After that we met Charlotte and went for a bit of a walk.
While we were walking by St. Peter’s church an odd man walked past wearing a long smock like item and had rainbow socks and sandals on. It wasn’t just that, but he appeared to be talking into a mobile phone, but on closer inspection, we realised it was actually a courgette!
I love my trike, I can pedal it forwards and backwards. I like taking it over the playground and racing round and round on it. I’m as good on it as I am on my scooter. I’ve also been watching people on skateboards and think that I want one…
We all went over to see Mandy and Terry yesterday in Worthing. They have a lovely flat there and I was on my best behaviour. We went for a nice walk on the seafront and beach and Terry, Dad and I dug up a worm! It’s good at Worthing as there aren’t many people about on the front so I raced along impressing everyone with my scooter skills.
I had two wee wees on my potty yesterday. Mummy and Daddy are very proud of me and I’m very excited by my new skill. Now I tell them when I need a wee (I still like to wear a nappy), but it all depends on whether I make it to my potty and get my nappy off in time or not…
I’m a toucan now. I used to be a penguin and before that a flamingo. These are of course the names of the rooms at the nursery I go to. Being a Toucan is great fun as I get my own draw to put things in that I have drawn (usually pictures of Mummy and Daddy). I also get direct access to the garden as my new room is downstairs. Not only that, but Grace (my girlfriend?) is a toucan too so we have a great time playing together.
It’s happened, I’ve become quite defiant when I want to be. I can’t help it, it’s just what happens when things don’t go my own way.
On Saturday morning I got up and went to go downstairs but I tripped on the top one and did a head over heels down the stairs. It hurt. It has made me realise that stairs can be quite dangerous if not respected!
There was some confusion over a bit of cake on Saturday, Uncle Ralph and Ben and Amy came over to see us and Amy had a bit of cake from a party she had been to. Uncle Ralph insisted that Amy share it with me, she did so reluctantly, but I closed my mouth around the cake and her finger. Needless to say there was a bit of crying, and the cake turned a bit red…
Here is a photo of me in a box. I know what you’re thinking, but I can assure you, Daddy is not kicking me!

I call Charlotte Tar Tar. It’s nothing to do with the fact that she smokes. I just think it’s catchy!
Daddy has gone away for the week so Grandad has come down to help look after Ollie and I. Especially Ollie as he still can’t go to nursery because of his chicken pox. I was so excited to see Grandad again that I didn’t want to speak to Dad tonight when he phoned up!
Mummy went up to London yesterday to see friends and then to have a big work meeting today. She got put up in a nice swanky hotel right in the middle of London. I think she was pleased to get away from us all for an evening to be honest! Still, Daddy did a good job of looking after us last night, and now I have to go to nursery without Ollie as he is poorly.
I sit on the potty now. I don’t do anything in it though. I will happily sit on it for half an hour saying ‘wee’ or ‘poo’ but nothing happens. Still, it’s the though that counts.
Dad’s friend Canadian Rob came to visit us this weekend, He turned up on Friday night when I was fast asleep. Daddy went to meet him in the pub and bring him over to see us. When I got up on Saturday morning, I poked my head round the door to wake him up. Then we all played at home for a bit, and then Dad, Rob, Ollie and I went into town on the bus while Mum stayed in and made Ollie’s birthday cake. I sat upstairs on the bus with Rob and pointed out all the other buses, lorries, bikes and cars that I could see. Daddy stayed downstairs with Ollie because he was in his buggy. When we got to town we played on the level for a bit before time caught up with us and Daddy and Rob realised they needed to be in the pub for 11am! I didn’t mind though, I like to rearrange all the stools in the pub into a big wall and then walk along the top of them all. We met Steve and Tom there too so there were plenty of people to keep Ollie and I entertained.
There seems to be a bit of a problem with mine and Ollie’s websites at the moment. Apparently there is a MySQL server issue. Our web hosting company are in the process of adding more machines to the server pool to overcome this. Hope it happens soon.
I love Finding Nemo, but there are certain bits in it that I really don’t like watching. The sharks are one, and the big nasty angler fish is another. Just before the scene starts I shout no more and run to get the remote control. Mummy or Daddy then have to skip past that bit otherwise I get all scared and snuggle in for a cuddle and whimper a bit too!
I like it when Mum puts Ollie in my toy box (with the lid off of course) and I get to push him round the room in it. In fact, both Ollie and I love it. We giggle a lot but usually I get over excited and something happens resulting in mine or Ollie’s or both of us’ tears!
Is coming along at a right old rate of knots. I’m stringing lots of words together now to make sort of sentences. Here are a few examples:
Daddy did back car de de - Daddy sit in the back of the car and sing the theme tune to Raiders of the lost ark
Ollie doc doc treenk arm? - Is ollie going to the doctors to get a drink (drip) in his arm?
Mummy work lellow motbike - Mummy goes to work on a yellow motorbike.
Me treenk dat cup no li - I want a drink in that cup, but I don’t want a lid on it.
Daddy doc doc owie foo - Daddy goes to the doctor because he has a bad foot.
Wow! We all went on holiday on an organic farm. There was a cottage on the land that we stayed in. When we got there Grandad was there too. I was very excited about this. I decided our holiday house would be called ‘Da da house’ everyone kept telling me it was the holiday house but I can distinguish the two as Grandad’s real house is called ‘yellow door Da da house’! Anyway, we had a great time, I saw lots of animals and sat on a tractor and went on trains and all sorts. The only upset was that Ollie was poorly so we came home early. Hope he’s better soon as he doesn’t seem to want to play much at the moment.
Daddy hasn’t been noticing me lately, he’s just bought a new big TV and has fastened it to the wall. He bought a new AV amp too, and has been tinkering with the sound settings on that. No, he has really been noticing me, it’s just that he seems quite pleased to get me off to bed early so that he can play some more.
I like the telly too though, I get to watch ‘Tractor Ted’ on a 40″ screen now, not sure how good that is for my eyes!
The smooth was Sunday, I had so much fun, it was James’ birthday and we all went to Drusillas. James and I went on lots of slides while Daisy and I ran round stamping our books that show what animals we’d seen there.
The rough was yesterday, I didn’t feel very well. Here is a picture of me with my sick bowl.

Mummy and Daddy are very proud of me. I go to bed every night, I don’t asked or even care about my dummy anymore, and I sleep through pretty much all the time. I’ve woken up a couple of times but that’s because my bed is so big I sometimes like to have a cuddle with Mummy in it.
I love my big boy bed and Mo loves it too, as soon as I am out of it, she jumps up there and sleeps all day!
I slept very well last night all in all. Sometimes when I’ve woken up before and I can’t find my dummy I’ve shouted ‘Dummy’ and Mum or Dad will help me look for it. But last night I knew I wasn’t allowed my dummy, so when I woke up I shouted ‘No dummy’. Mum came in to my room to see me anyway and had a cuddle with me in my bed and we both fell asleep. Ollie pretty much slept through it all, and everyone got a good night’s sleep, especially Dad would had a bigger bed all to himself!
I finally got my big boy bed today. Daddy put it together for me. It’s got another bed on top of it, but I’m not really allowed up there. Daddy has taken the ladder away for the time being to stop me. I’ll have to see how I get on with it. Now that I’m in my big boy bed, I’m no longer allowed a dummy. I like going to sleep with my dummy, so I’m not sure how that’s going to work…
