Can you guess my favourite film?

Sealand

Posted by George on November 11th, 2008 at 7:03 pm

We’ve gone to Sealand (well, that’s what I’m calling it). I speak to Daddy most mornings (his evenings) and I basically just tell him that I’m having cornflakes. I wonder if I should try telling him something else too? Still, I’m better that Ollie, at least I am talking to him.

Miss Dad

Posted by George on November 4th, 2008 at 8:46 am

I told Daddy that I will miss him when the rest of us go on holiday on Thursday. I gave him a big cuddle and a kiss and told him it would be alright because I’d be back soon. I also gave him an extra big cuddle in bed this morning, just so he knows I really will miss him.

Canadian Rob

Posted by George on October 28th, 2008 at 12:53 pm

Last Friday, Canadian Rob came over to see us all. Daddy, Ollie and I picked him up from the station and we larked about in the afternoon until Mummy came home. Then Ollie and I were shuffled off to bed and the adults sat up eating and drinking. I like Canadian Rob, I remember when he took me upstairs on the bus when Daddy couldn’t go up as he was looking after Ollie, so I think he’ll always be my friend.

On the Saturday, Daddy and I took him to the airport and said our goodbyes. I think it might be a while before we see him again what with Daddy’s silly fear of flying.

Mummy’s picture

Posted by George on October 22nd, 2008 at 8:34 pm

Yesterday I drew a picture of Mummy. It’s the first time I’ve drawn a proper face all on my own. I drew the outline and then put 2 eyes, a nose and a big smiling mouth all in the right places. Daddy was very impressed and so we cut it out and Mummy put it in a frame. I think she plans to keep it forever.

Phoning Daddy

Posted by George on October 18th, 2008 at 8:31 pm

I had to speak to Daddy while he was away because I was missing him.

Daisy the navigator

Posted by George on October 18th, 2008 at 8:07 pm

I’ve come across a photo of me asking Daisy to do the navigating, here it is.

Daddy the unemployed

Posted by George on October 18th, 2008 at 8:05 pm

Daddy has signed on now, Uncle Ian calls him dole scrounging scum, but I think that’s a little harsh. After all, everything he gets off the state, he puts into looking after me and Ollie.

Daddy pants

Posted by George on October 5th, 2008 at 7:42 pm

I wear boxer shorts now, I call them Daddy pants. I’ve been very good with my training, and can’t imagine wearing a nappy during the day anymore.

Unemployed potty training

Posted by George on September 24th, 2008 at 2:53 pm

Daddy is unemployed now, he finished work about three weeks ago. He doesn’t waste his time though, he’s been potty training me. Well, to be fair to me, he didn’t actually have to do too much.

We went out last week with James and I noticed he was wearing pants, so when we got home I told Mother and Father that I also wanted to wear pants. That was it really, although Dad has been helping me too. I’m very pleased with myself, and I know Mum and Dad are too.

Our Zoo Adventure

Click here to see a movie of Mine and Ollie’s zoo adventure (might take a while to load: 40Mb)

Human trafficking

Posted by George on August 31st, 2008 at 6:43 pm

I’m afraid I’ve started doing something that might be seen to be wrong. I take passengers off my wooden bus when I stops at the station and out of my wooden arc when it docks and I cram them all into the back of my lorry and close the doors. I then drive them to the back room and tip them all out on the floor. Then I come back and get more. After a few trips all the people have migrated from one room to another but they don’t seem very happy about it. They just lie there!

Potty training

Posted by George on August 28th, 2008 at 11:13 am

Mummy and Daddy are trying in earnest to get me to wear pants and use the potty. I’m not convinced by this though, I like wearing my pants, but I don’t like using a potty, so everytime I need to go to the loo, I shout for a nappy to be put on. I know I’m going to have to stop using nappies soon, but I’m just not sure I’m quite ready.

Camping

Posted by George on August 28th, 2008 at 11:13 am

We went camping at the weekend with Uncle Ralph, Auntie Tracy, Uncle Ian, Auntie Cleo, Meghan, Ben, Amy, Alex, and Meghan’s friend Amy. It was very good fun, there was lots to do on the camp site, have a look for yourself. The weather wasn’t very nice on Sunday, but we all played indoors then so it didn’t really matter. I stayed up very late playing with my cousins on the first night, but on the second night I was very tired and fell to sleep cuddling Daddy. I did it for him really, I know he likes my cuddles.

Granma

Posted by George on August 19th, 2008 at 7:26 am

Daddy, Ollie and I went to Uncle Ralph’s house on Friday, on the way there, we stopped in to see where Granma is resting. Daddy was a bit tearful while we were there, especially when I said hello and goodbye to Granma when we got there and when we left. I asked Daddy why he was sad, and he told me so I grabbed him and gave him a big cuddle and a kiss. I think it cheered him up a bit.

Daddy’s Birthday

Posted by George on August 13th, 2008 at 3:30 pm

Last Thursday was Daddy’s birthday, I got him an Indiana Jones lego game for the Nintendo Wii. Trouble is, Daddy didn’t have a Nintendo Wii, so he didn’t know what to do with it. That was soon rectified when Mummy gave Daddy his present and it was one! I like listening to the music from it and watching the video introduction scene, it makes me smile. You may remember, I’ve always like the theme tune to Raiders.
Ollie got Daddy a DVD set of the films too, so it was a very Indy day for him.

On your bike

Posted by George on July 31st, 2008 at 6:59 pm

Well, it wasn’t mine, was it yours? Even so, I had great fun riding it.

Super fun happy slide

Posted by George on July 29th, 2008 at 12:14 pm

While we were up at Clapham common (see Ollie’s blog for details) Daddy took me on a really big slide, in fact it was a helter skelter. The man at the top of the slide told us to keep our arms tucked in while we went down. We went really fast but at one point Daddy decided to use my arm as a brake and as a result, I have a big graze on my arm now. It looks nasty, but it doesn’t really hurt any more.

EDIT: Before anyone says what a nasty man Dad is, I sort of lied then, he didn’t really use me as a brake, but rather I let my arm go free and it slid down the side of the slide.

Street party

Posted by George on July 22nd, 2008 at 6:56 pm

On Sunday, Daddy, Ollie and I went to a street party in Grandad’s road. Mummy couldn’t come because she was working. We went up to Grandad’s on Saturday night and stayed over. I was very excited about this although I did miss my Mum. The street party was very good fun. I borrowed one of the bigger boys bikes and rode it around for much of the afternoon. It’s the only time I’ve been allowed to play in the road and I though it was great. I’m not allowed to do it any more though, apparently, it was a very special day that meant boys could play in the road. The bike I borrowed was a proper bike with stabilizers. Ollie went on one too, but Daddy had to keep hold of him.

Tut tut

Posted by George on July 16th, 2008 at 11:58 am

I’ve been very tardy posting of late. In the last couple of weeks we have all been quite busy. Daddy has been away for a week to do more of his training as an electrician, rumour has it he was the girly swot of the class! I will follow up with more posts soon…

Camping and coughing

Posted by George on June 29th, 2008 at 6:46 pm

We went camping yesterday with Daisy and James. James and I had great fun running around and scootering about. It was our first time camping. The last time Mummy and Daddy went was when I was still in Mummy’s tummy. I got over excited and didn’t go to bed till about 11pm. But then I woke up at 5am very much upset because I was having an episode. I wasn’t breathing properly. We had to all speed home to get my inhaler. That soon perked me up but we all made the most of our beds for an hour or so before going back for breakfast and the Bluebell railway.

How to lie

Posted by George on June 26th, 2008 at 11:36 am

Lesson 1: Refuse to get up in the morning and keep going back to sleep until about 10am, then wake up and say you have an owie tummy until Dad says ‘Ok, no nursery for you’ then hang around for another 10 minutes before looking pleased with yourself and realising this is all too easy.

Amilia’s christening

Posted by George on June 23rd, 2008 at 7:34 pm

Amilia had a birthday and christening day yesterday. We all went along and had a great time. I ate far too much chocolate and refused to go to sleep. I slept in this morning though till 8am.

Better and worse

Posted by George on June 16th, 2008 at 11:56 am

It seems I had hand, foot and mouth. Charlotte has been calling me Bovine George. I’m feeling a lot better now, but I must say, I’ve been putting a lot of effort into being a bit of a naughty boy lately. I shouldn’t be proud of myself, but I just can’t help it. I keep stealing everything from Ollie, I push him over, I refuse to do anything Mummy asks and I throw tantrums whenever I can. Daddy can sometimes make me behave, but it’s only when he takes me to one side and talks quietly and calmly to me that I realise I’ve done very wrong indeed!

Poorly boy

Posted by George on June 9th, 2008 at 11:13 am

I’m poorly, I have a temperature, a big rash on my legs and bottom and I have an ‘owie’ tummy. I went to the doctor’s today and they said they think it’s a viral thingy. All I know is I’m not a very happy boy.

Pub and Oddities

Posted by George on May 28th, 2008 at 11:09 am

Mummy and Daddy went to the pub for Charlotte’s birthday at the weekend. Mummy couldn’t get up the next day so Daddy Ollie and I spent the morning together. Then Ollie went for a sleep with Mummy and Daddy and I went to the pub for some lunch. After that we met Charlotte and went for a bit of a walk.
While we were walking by St. Peter’s church an odd man walked past wearing a long smock like item and had rainbow socks and sandals on. It wasn’t just that, but he appeared to be talking into a mobile phone, but on closer inspection, we realised it was actually a courgette!

Pedalling

Posted by George on May 22nd, 2008 at 11:50 am

I love my trike, I can pedal it forwards and backwards. I like taking it over the playground and racing round and round on it. I’m as good on it as I am on my scooter. I’ve also been watching people on skateboards and think that I want one…

Mandy and Terry

Posted by George on May 19th, 2008 at 6:27 pm

We all went over to see Mandy and Terry yesterday in Worthing. They have a lovely flat there and I was on my best behaviour. We went for a nice walk on the seafront and beach and Terry, Dad and I dug up a worm! It’s good at Worthing as there aren’t many people about on the front so I raced along impressing everyone with my scooter skills.

Here is a photo of Mandy, Terry and I on the front.

Potty

Posted by George on May 12th, 2008 at 11:57 am

I had two wee wees on my potty yesterday. Mummy and Daddy are very proud of me and I’m very excited by my new skill. Now I tell them when I need a wee (I still like to wear a nappy), but it all depends on whether I make it to my potty and get my nappy off in time or not…
