Funny time

Posted by George on December 31st, 2006

Has been odd of late, Dad isn’t quite himself by a long way, but he’s making the best of things. Mummy and Daddy cuddle lots and I’m always there on hand too when I’m not too busy developing a large number of new skills! So things I can do nowadays are: Blow kisses (sometimes) Stand [...]

Presents galore

Posted by George on December 27th, 2006

Well I got lots and lots of presents for Christmas, I think I like it. I like unwrapping them all and eating the paper. I got so many things I can’t possibly tell you them all. One thing I did get though, which was from Granma, was a big wooden bus with people you can [...]

Christmas day

Posted by George on December 25th, 2006

It’s Christmas day today. I got up and got all my presents out of my stocking. We are all waiting till after breakfast to have our big presents from under the tree. Father Christmas has brought me lots of them. I’ve already had one present from Steve and Lisa, a big abacus, I like it [...]

Christmas eve

Posted by George on December 24th, 2006

It’s almost Christmas, I’ve been trying to unwrap the presents under the tree but I’m not allowed to yet. Mummy and Daddy are spoilsports!

Sending off

Posted by George on December 23rd, 2006

Yesterday was Granma’s funeral. I went to nursery and Mummy and Daddy went to the chapel to see Granma off. They said it was a lovely service and there were an awful lot of people there. From the usual suspects to many people that Daddy didn’t know knew Granma. Afterwards we all went to Uncle [...]

Sleeping, or lack of it

Posted by George on December 20th, 2006

I’m not sleeping very well at the moment. Neither are Mum and Dad because I wake them up! Dad has had to get up anyway to take Tom, Debbie and Jed to the airport. I tried to stay asleep because I knew he would be tired but I just needed a cuddle so shouted for [...]

Business as usual

Posted by George on December 19th, 2006

Well, I’ve been back to nursery for the last two days. I’m still not 100% but not far from it. I’m still having my eye drops. I hate them! I see the little bottle and I screw my eyes shut and Mummy or Daddy have to prise them open. I make them feel very guilty [...]

Happy or sad?

Posted by George on December 19th, 2006

We’ve been going to Granma’s flat to ensure all is ok there and to feed the cats and pick up post and such like. Dad says that opening the post is a bit like Russian roulette, some of the cards are sympathy ones, which strangely are happy cards and others are Christmas cards which he [...]

The last few days

Posted by George on December 16th, 2006

I’ve been off nursery for the last few days. I have had a temperature, and a cold, and my teeth hurt and my eyes have been all sticky. Dad has been off work too. He has had an awful lot to sort out since last Saturday. We have both had a few tears while we’ve [...]

Funny old day

Posted by George on December 12th, 2006

Today I feel a bit better, but not well enough to go to nursery. Mum had to go to work today so I stayed with Dad. We were busy today, along with Uncle Ralph, Uncle Ian and Dave we had to sort out the service for Granma. I don’t really understand it all, but Dad [...]

Doctor’s orders

Posted by George on December 11th, 2006

I went to the Doctor with Mum today and it was confirmed that I have conjunctivitis. I was also given something for my wheezyness. It is called a ‘Paediactric Volumatic Spacer Device with Paedriactric Face Mask’. Here is a picture of it. I have to have it on my face and Daddy squirts the inhaler [...]

Grumpy George

Posted by George on December 11th, 2006

Well I’ve been very grumpy yesterday and today, I’m having trouble with my teeth and I think I’ve got conjunctivitis, just going to the Doctor’s to find out. Some of my tears aren’t for those reasons though. We all had a bit of a cry yesterday and a big hug too.

A younger Granma

Posted by George on December 10th, 2006

Uncle Ian was getting the Christmas decorations out at home earlier and came across this photo of Granma taken when she was 18 or thereabouts. I think she looks very pretty.

My Granma passed away today, Mummy and Daddy were there to say goodbye to her. I went to Tom and Debbie’s and played with Jed. Then we all went to the pub. Daddy says he is going to write about Granma so that you all know what a lovely lovely lady she was, I don’t [...]

Granma

Posted by George on December 8th, 2006

Granma had to have another type of scan yesterday and we got the results this evening. Mum, Dad and I went up to the hospital to speak to the Doctor. It seems Granma has had too great an injury to her to be able to recover, but she is still comfortable in her special bed [...]

Granma’s scan

Posted by George on December 7th, 2006

Today we get the results of Granma’s MRI scan that was performed yesterday. This should give us a good idea of how poorly she is, and what happens next. We are all hoping for good news. Fingers crossed everyone.

Daddy and his silly head

Posted by George on December 6th, 2006

Daddy watched a programme on the TV last night about the internet and the historical benefits of blogging. On it someone said that the blogs of today will be invaluable to historians of the future looking at social/cultural anthropology. I wonder if people will read mine and see how I lived my life? Daddy, wants [...]

Walking and chomping and yuck

Posted by George on December 6th, 2006

Today I took my first steps without assistance, ok so I took two and fell into Mum’s lap, but hey, I think that’s pretty good going don’t you? I’ve also cut two more toofy pegs, they are both at the top next to the first two. And to top it all I managed to be [...]

Granma and me

Posted by George on December 6th, 2006

Here is a picture taken on Granma’s birthday that I mentioned in an earlier post. And here is one of us all We are all hoping that Granma gets better soon.

Get well soon Granma

Posted by George on December 4th, 2006

Granma isn’t very well at all. No one knows quite what’s happened but she appears to have had some kind of fit and her heart stopped working. She is in the ICU at Sussex County Hospital. Everyone is very worried. I haven’t seen her yet, but I bet a big kiss from me would go [...]

Posted by George on December 3rd, 2006

Mum and I went shopping for Christmas gifts today while Dad stayed in and made Christmas puddings. Now we just have to wait 8 hours for them to cook!
